New Delhi: Payal Abdullah, the separated wife of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah recently moved a city court with a demand of Rs 15 lakh per month for maintenance from him.
Payal claimed that following eviction from the government accommodation at Lutyens' Delhi, she and her two sons have been left homeless and penniless.
The petition from Payal comes a month after Payal and her children were forced to vacate the J&K government's type VIII bungalow situated on Delhi's Akbar Road.
In the petition Payal seeks an amount of Rs 10 lakh for maintenance of the family and Rs 5 lakh for a new accommodation.
The separated wife of Omar even said that she and her children are Z and Z+ category security protectees but their sudden eviction has increased security threats against them.
