NZ Junior Athletics meet concludes

, Oct 17: Three-day long 34th North Zone Junior Athletics Championship, which was organised by J&K Amateur Athletics Association, concluded today on the newly laid athletics arena on the University of Jammu (JU) campus, here.

Around 1000 athletes and officials from nine states and Union Territories (UTs) of North Zone took part in this championship. The event was supported by

J&K Council, Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), J&K Olympic Association, University of Jammu and Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC).

In the closing function, Deputy Director DYSS, Jatinder Sharma was chief guest, who felicitated the athletes in the presence of Mohd. Hanief, Chief Sports Officer of JKSC; Balwinder Singh, Divisional Sports Officer JKSC; Sunil Kumar Sharma, Accounts Officer DYSS; Inderveer Singh and Gagandeep Singh. This championship held under the overall supervision of Sharat Chander Singh, organizing secretary.
