Now a rift between Lashkar, Pak army

Among many ramifications of Indian Army's surgical strikes on the launch-pads of terrorists in PoK and shielded by the Pakistani Army, the Lashkar leadership has conveyed its displeasure over the Pakistan Army's failure to have cautioned them over such sudden operations.

Intelligence sources said that the Lashkar-e-Toiba cadre was also apparently miffed as the military didn't allow them to remove bodies of their men from locations of the surgical strikes.

The surgical strikes by Indian Army para-commandos in enemy-held territory across the Line of Control has not just rattled Pakistan but also seems to have created a rift between Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists and their handlers in the Pakistani army.

The Pakistani military gave priority to its own soldiers – both dead and injured – who were the first to be evacuated. The LeT terrorists were reportedly allowed to do so only in the dark.

This second-hand treatment is said to have led to resentment among the LeT cadres. The Pakistan Army has started damage control exercises and has been taking precautions to be caught their links with the terrorists training camps under their patronage.

Earlier, terror leaders Hafiz Saeed and Syed Salahuddin had been shifted to an army camp in Lahore, as Islamabad is said to fearing more such retaliatory strikes from . Pakistan Army commandos in plainclothes are providing them close security. This was particularly important for them to get prepared for any such eventuality as the Pakistan army knows well that a series of terror strikes will be continuing against India by the terrorists as per their own schedule. The clear examples are over two-three terror attacks on the security camps and formations by the terrorists in the last ten days after the surgical strike by Indian army.  The latest terror attack is reported today at Pampore and the encounter was going on till these lines were written.

In fact, Pakistan Army has also shifted back the terror assets and  launch pads near the LoC by 7-8 km deep inside PoK.  India needs to be alert in days to come.
