New budget proposals may be tax free

New proposals may be tax free
, December 21 (KIP):-In the budget that the
Minister, Haseeb Drabu, is to present on January 9 in the state
legislature the coalition Government has tentatively decided not to
    impose fresh taxes.

Reports said that people have suffered  a lot during the last five
months and there could be further turmoil if the Government imposed
fresh or additional taxes. During the last five months people,
including traders, transporters and others suffered sever losses which
have made the atmosphere not conducive for imposing additional taxes.

The state Government has decided to seek additional funds from
the centre so that there was no reason for fresh turmoil.

Any fresh taxes may enrage people especially against BJP which
has already suffered vote erosion. And the BJP leadership has conveyed
to the central command that any additional taxes could cause further
    damage to the party.

And the scope for imposing fresh taxes was not possible because
there is no item on which additional taxes could be levied. and if the
Government imposes fresh taxes it could give  handle to the opposition
to start agitation against the coalition Government.(KIP)
