Need to maintain sense of  balance in aftermath of Uri attack: Karan Singh

NEW DELHI: Noting that the widespread outrage in the country over the terrorist attack in Uri in and was justified, veteran Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Karan Singh, however, stressed the need to maintain a sense of balance and proportion in the wake of the incident.

In a statement here, Dr Singh, viewing with concern the increasing talk of ‘nuclear war' in the press and the electronic media, made a plea to view the whole situation in its proper perspective and take such action as may be appropriate.

”While widespread outrage against the Uri attack, in which unfortunately our forces seem to have been taken by surprise, is fully justified, the manner in which words such as ‘nuclear war' are being bandied about in the press and the electronic media, is deeply disturbing. (AGENCIES)
