    Date:

Tawi, July 6: In a  joint protest demonstration led by Conference Minority Cell President M K Yogi along with other organization held at Press Club, Jammu KPs braving hot and humid conditions demonstrated against recent desecration and vandalizing of Mata Tripursundari temple in District Kulgam. The protesters were infuriated with this latest act of vandalization and demanded strict action against those forces inimical to KP community and its civilization anchors in valley.

All the protesters unanimously were of the opinion that such attempts are under a well orchestrated ploy and mechanism to destroy the relics and places of reverence belonging to minority Hindu community and the recent desecration and vandalizing is part of the larger drive to hurt the sentiments of Hindus and create a fear psychosis.

It is noteworthy that the latest unholy act happened in the backdrop of on going Amarnath Yatra and state administration was caught napping. Yogi, President NC Minority Cell, while resting the blame on state administration for its lackluster role in protecting the places of worship and historical importance of exiled Hindi community in valley, Yogi along with various organizations heads warned of a much larger pan agitation if such gory incidents repeat in future.

The protestors while breaking the police barricade ventured out on Pt Prem Nath Dorga chowk and blocked the main road for nearly half an hour. Further, Yogi also demanded that there should be full proof security to the other shrines of Hindus as many disturbing elements are ready to create hassle like this act during this Amarnath Yatra Period. The representatives of various organizations passed a message to those quarters that propagate lies about the disunity in community.

The community is united on matters which concern the community and nation and today's demonstration is a living example. The major social and political organizations which participated in this protest demonstration are, Kaahmiri Pandit Sabha, Jammu, All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference, Panun Kashmir, Lok Janshakti Party cell,  Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj, AIKS, Y4PK, KP Coordination Committee for IDP and others.
