Militants killed in Shopian encounter not identified yet

Srinagar, Apr 17 : Two militant were killed in an encounter which broke out between militants and security forces in Dairoo, Keegam of Shopian district on Friday morning. The slain militants are yet to be identified.
Officials said that two militant were killed and their identification is being ascertained. They said that that a joint team of forces Army's 44RR, Police and CRPF launched cordon and search operation in Dairoo, Keegam area after they had specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
As the joint team forces encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants started firing on the forces, triggering an encounter, he said, adding that during exchange of fire two militants were killed. A senior police official said that their bodies were taken to Srinagar and their identification is being ascertained.
In another incident, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) man was injured after suspected militants attacked a forces camp in Newa area of South 's Pulwama district.
Official sources told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that militants fired upon a post of CRPF camp in Newa area, which was retaliated by forces.
They said that a CRPF man identified as Indar Kumar, son of Vishnu Kumar of Rajasthan of 183 battalion was injured and has been shifted to hospital for treatment.
They said soon after the attack, area was cordoned off and search operation was launched to nab the attackers
