Local youth reluctant to join militancy in Kashmir

Tawi, November 11 (KIP): Since the majority of local youth, despite
sever affect in their academic activities; have refused to join
militant outfits Pakistani troops continue to assist groups of
militants in sneaking into Jammu and .
At home the Pakistani forces resort to ceasefire violations and
pound the border outposts so that militants were able to cross into
Jammu and Kashmir under the cover of fire. But the alert Indian troops
and the BSF have made repeated bids to foil these ingress attempts.

Reports said that the separatists and handlers of militants
across the border expected over 400 youth to take  guns in their hands
but till today not more than 40 have joined militant groups.

Police sources said that the youth being lured into militancy
have become wise enough and know that their joining militant
activities would either result in their death or in their arrest since
July several thousand youths have been arrested and this has left
Kashmiri boys skip.

Since militant commanders feel the pinch of shortage of
manpower they try to woo youth by promising money and other
allurements but so far there has been no response.
In the meantime the court has dismissed an appeal demanding
withdrawal of the security forces from all school premises .the state
government has said that since miscreants were trying to set school
buildings on fire it was necessary to bring all these school buildings
under security cover.
