The fight against the coronavirus seems to be very long with the daily spike in the number of positive cases reported in India. Now the time has come when we need to learn the art of living with this virus by following the lockdown guidelines of the government and by building up good immune system. Now the fourth phase of the lockdown will come into effect from 18th May, 2020 with the new set of guidelines. However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's emphasis on ‘Atamnirbhar Bharat' or self-reliant India is Swadeshi economics in other words. In the Indian context, self-reliance should not mean divorcing international trade. India will have to seriously engage with the region and the world, but at the same time strengthen its own domestic industry by streamlining the governance system and go far beyond mere amendments and announcements. PM has also asserted that being vocal for local will also go a long way in boosting up the declining Indian economy and the local businesses will be benefitted by it. He has also announced an economic package to tide over Covid crisis and will help India realise its full potential.
Now it is very certain that the lockdown-4 is implemented with the easing of more curbs and relaxation will be given to green and orange zones except the containment zones where the lockdown will be implemented more stringently. Easing of curbs and lifting of restrictions does not mean that we should take due advantage of this relaxation and behave irresponsibly by not following the government advisories amid lockdown. People should have to keep this thing in mind that the virus is spreading like forest fire and the situation is so alarming with positive cases crossing 90,000 mark and fatalities going beyond 2600 in India. So it is our moral responsibly and duty to maintain proper social distancing and good health hygiene in order to combat this deadly virus. Therefore, social Distancing is the only viable and feasible solution to bring the situation under control.
