Let it be the precedent in J&K

Since the times of kingdoms common masses used to look at the regimes for getting succour especially during the times of crises, and the rulers used to provide the relief accordingly. It is really praiseworthy that LG Manoj Sinha has accomplished something in line with the past practice by taking an unprecedented step which none of the governments in the past in J&K have taken so far to provide houses free of cost to the people who have lost their own during Operation Sindoor and recent floods in Jammu and Kashmir.

Reportedly, the High-range Rural Development Society (HRDS India) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Divisional Commissioner Jammu and Divisional Commissioner Kashmir for building houses for the victims of ‘war’ and floods fulfilling the promise made by LG Sinha recently. HRDS India will build 1500 free houses across the UT. These 3-bedroom houses will be designed and delivered as a “Smart House”, incorporating modern features for comfort and safety.

This is not enough as under the initiative envisaged by the LG of J&K, the HRDS India and Divisional Commissioners of both the divisions will also identify terror victim families whose houses were destroyed by the terrorists to also provide them this bounty. As discussed earlier no dispensation in the region has taken such a bountiful step in the past and therefore the people in J&K should be thankful to LG Manoj Sinha for his philanthropic approach and commitment towards public welfare.

All said and done, LG Sinha has set a wonderful precedent in the Union Territory of providing a sigh of relief to the victims of unprovoked shelling by the rogue country

Pakistan and natural calamities which struck J&K in the recent days killing over 100 people at different places besides devastating properties of the people and public infrastructure at a large scale. With this incredible step to help the people in distress in an extraordinary manner, the LG of the UT has set an example for the governments which are going to rule the region in future because they will have to either emulate such a generous step during the times of crises or have to give more to match the gesture shown by the incumbent lieutenant governor. All said and done, LG has won the hearts of people through this never before initiative, which will be remembered for a long time.
