Srinagar, Dec 13

A Kashmiri teen who did a brief role in movie ‘Haider' was reported to be among the three terrorists killed in Mujgund on the outskirts of Srinagar following an intense 18-hour-long gun battle that ended in the morning of December 9.
The teen identified as Saqib Bilal and another boy were killed along with a Pakistani commander of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) on Sunday.
Bilal was a resident of Hajin and was famous in his area for his role in Vishal Bharadwaj's ‘Haider', which had Tabu and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles.
Bilal and his friend Mudasir Parray went missing from their home in Bandipora in Hajin district on August 31. Parray was a footballer. They had bonded over the game and later joined the Lashkar.
As a theatre artist, Bilal had won a competition three years ago in Kerala followed by the stint in the movie.
The police, after the encounter said that the three militants who were holed up in Mujgund area, opened fire at the security force personnel injuring an Indian Army soldier. In the ensuing gun battle a CRPF trooper and three policemen were also injured.
