The highly anticipated dystopian science fiction film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ starring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone has got off to a phenomenal start with its advance bookings, generating over Rs. 6.08 crores within the first 24 hours. According to reports from leading ticketing platforms, the film has sold over 200,000 tickets across India even prior to its release date of June 27th.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Nag Ashwin, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is among the most awaited movies of the year with a star-studded cast including Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan in pivotal roles along with the lead pair of Prabhas and Deepika Padukone. Tamil Nadu reported modest but steady bookings of a little over 2,000 tickets in the pre-release phase for the epic entertainer.
Trade analysts have praised the electrifying response online, noting shows as early as 4:30AM on release day in the state capital Hyderabad were fully packed much before opening.
