Mendhar/Rajouri, Mar 27: Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district have unearthed a hideout and recovered a cache of ammunition during a search operation on Thursday, officials said.
Acting on a tip-off, troops from the Rashtriya Rifles, along with the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the police, launched a coordinated search in the Manyal Gali forests of Thanamandi. During the operation, the forces uncovered the hideout, which contained five live rounds, one grenade, one gas cylinder, a small solar panel, and some food items.
The operation highlights ongoing efforts by security forces to combat militancy and ensure the safety of the region. Further investigations are underway.
