Jammu, Dec 27: The Jammu and Kashmir government has announced a seven-day state mourning from December 26, 2024, to January 1, 2025, in honor of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, who passed away on December 26.
During this period, the National Flag will be flown at half-mast at all official locations, and no official entertainment events will be held. The General Administration Department has issued directives to ensure adherence to these measures.
The decision, conveyed by Commissioner/Secretary Sanjeev Verma, underscores the state’s tribute to the late leader. Citizens have been urged to observe the mourning guidelines during this period.
