J&K Blind Cricket team reach Rajasthan

, Feb 14: A 14-member blind team from J&K today reached Ajmer in Rajasthan to take part in the ongoing 5th edition of the Twenty20 Tournament for Nagesh Trophy under the banner of Cricket Association for Blind Jammu and Kashmir (CABJK).

The event is being organised by Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI). “Earlier, the team, led by cricketer, Rohit Sharma was flagged off by Ranjeet Kalra from Jammu,” informed general secretary CABJK, Ajay Kumar.

J&K has been placed in group-C with Odisha, Rajasthan, Delhi and Telengana being other states.

The J&K Team: B1: Rohit Sharma (Captain), Surjeet Singh, Manpreet Singh, Irfan Mir and Ajay Singh. B2: Ajay Kumar (V C), Chamandeep Singh, Shiv Sharma, Mohd Rafeeq, Nikait Singh.  B3: Angrej Kumar Padha, Mohd Azeem, Peer Basit and Syed Khursheed. Officials: Sadam Hussein and Imam Hussain.
