    Soldier killed in lightening strike in Poonch, two injured in Rajouri explosion

    Rajouri/Poonch ( Div), May 11: An Army man was killed after natural lightening struck a forward location on Line of Control (LoC) in Sauwjiyan area of Poonch in Jammu region.

    The incident took place on Monday evening.“Natural lightening hit an area near LoC in Sauwjiyan of Poonch, leaving an Army man dead,” Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Poonch, Ramesh K Angral told.

    He added further investigation and legal formalities have been started into the matter.

    In another incident, two Army men were on Monday injured in a minor explosion that took place at a forward location of Line of Control in Rajouri area and both have been shifted to a local Army hospital for treatment.

    Sources informed that during routine duty, a small scale explosion took place on Line of Control, leaving both the Army men injured who were immediately evacuated from the spot and shifted to Army hospital.–(KNO)
