Jammu Tawi, April 19: In a spiritually enriching gathering held at Gurdwara Baba Fateh Singh Ji, Jammu, Sri Akal Takht Sahib Jathedar, Giani Kuldeep Singh today addressed the devout sangat on the auspicious occasion of Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. The Jathedar’s address was marked by a profound message of sacrifice, unity, and cultural identity.
While paying homage to the unparalleled sacrifice of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, Giani Kuldeep Singh stated that the martyrdom of the ninth Guru remains a beacon of light for all of humanity, symbolizing the supreme stand for righteousness and freedom of faith. “Today, there is a dire need to draw inspiration from the life and sacrifice of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and walk the path of truth and justice,” he emphasized.
He fervently appealed to the Sikh community to stay united and uphold the values and teachings of the Gurus in these challenging times. “Unity is our strength, and we must remain connected to our roots, language, and traditions,” he added.
Highlighting the rich linguistic heritage of the region, the Jathedar urged the government to implement Punjabi as one of the official languages in Jammu and Kashmir. “Crores of people speak Punjabi. It is not just a language but a cultural legacy that must be preserved and promoted officially,” he said.
In a significant demand, Giani Kuldeep Singh also sought a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the mysterious killing of prominent Sikh leader Tarlochan Singh Wazir. He stated that justice in the matter has been long awaited and that the truth must come out through a fair and transparent investigation.
