Jammu, Udhampur boys bag TT titles


UDHAMPUR, October 20: District and Udhampur secured under-14 and under-17 titles respectively in the inter-district Divisional level Table Tennis Tournament which held under the banner of Department of Youth Services and (DYSS) at Indoor Hall, Subash Stadium, here.
In the under-14 final, Jammu defeated district Poonch 3-1 whereas in under-17 age group final, Udhampur trounced Jammu 3-1.
The title trophies as also other individual medals presented by the chief guest, Assistant Commissioner Development, Udhampur, Dr. Ranjeet Singh Kotwal.
Earlier, a good number of over 60 young participants took part in this two-day competition representing seven districts of Jammu Division, a handout issued by the DYSS informed.
Also present were district (DYSS) officer Udhampur, Ramesh Chander Mishra and Zonal Physical Officer (ZPEO), Pushpinder Kour.
The technical penal in this event comprised Ajay Sharma, Manik Nargotra, Ashutosh Gupta, Rishi Sharma, Ishang Bandral and Vicky Sharma. Narinder Singh, Vinod and Rekha Ratra were the selectors.
