Indus Towers installs new ultra-lean telecom tower in Jammu

In line with its commitment to connecting India, Indus Towers Limited has installed a new ground-based, Ultra-lean product tower in Chak Shivo village situated
nearly 20 kms from Jammu specifically designed for J&K keeping in view the uniqueness and diverse topography of the region especially to serve remote and Border
areas. The first 25 meters high tower which would serve and provide latest data access to the people of the village was jointly inaugurated by Honorable,
Shri Kavinder Gupta, Ex Dy Chief Minister, JK and Ex Speaker Legislative Assembly, J&K and Mr. Bimal Dayal, MD & CEO, Indus Towers. Chak Shivo is the first site
for this category of towers across India and Airtel will be the first telecom operator to use this new product mobile tower.
Honorable, Shri Kavinder Gupta, said, “We're pleased that India's leading provider passive telecom infrastructure, Indus Towers has an innovative line of towers
that can be economically installed in rural areas. India needs such telecom infrastructure as it moves towards a 5G telecom era. The topography and civic
infrastructure in rural India – especially in Jammu district – are unlike that of more urban areas. Bringing mobile and 4G connectivity to such areas was always a
challenge. Indus has found an ingenious solution to this problem, one which will not only bring mobile and 4G connectivity but in the not-too-distant future, 5G as
well.”
