Illegal Immigrants a Threat, Bihar Polls Key to End Infiltration: Shah

Bettiah (Bihar), Nov 6: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday said the ongoing Bihar Assembly elections will determine whether the state becomes “infiltrator-free,” asserting that illegal Bangladeshi immigrants not only grab local jobs but also pose serious national security threats.

Addressing a massive rally in Bettiah, West Champaran, Shah launched a sharp attack on the RJD, accusing it of promoting “massacres and rapes” during its rule. He declared that there is no place for “bahubalis” (strongmen) in the NDA government.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi established the Makhana Board, but if ‘Lalu & Co.’ come to power, they will set up an ‘Infiltrator Ghusao Board’,” Shah alleged, drawing loud applause from the crowd.

Promising major development initiatives, Shah said Champaran will get a new airport, closed sugar mills will be revived through cooperatives, and special schemes will be introduced for the Tharu community if the NDA retains power.

Taking a jibe at the opposition alliance, he warned that Bihar would turn into a “mini-Chambal” if the “thagbandhan” (Mahagathbandhan) formed the government.
