Jammu Tawi: Indian Institute of Management Jammu is completing its five years of journey on 22nd August 2021. It has achieved many milestones, one of them being setting up the transit campus and the construction of the 200-acre permanent campus in full swing.
To mark this event, IIM Jammu is organizing the “Celebration of the Five Years Journey of IIM Jammu”, at 11:00 AM, 22nd August 2021. The celebration will start with the lighting of the lamp, followed by the Saraswati Vandana by the 2nd year students of IIM Jammu. Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, will walk us through the “Five Year Journey of IIM Jammu”. Union Minister of State (Independent Charge), GoI, will be the Guest of Honour of the program and deliver the address to the audience. The Chief Guest Hon'ble Education Minister, GoI, Dharmendra Pradhan, will deliver his message.
On this occasion, Shriram Dandekar, Former Chairman, BoG, IIM Jammu, will also share his pearl of wisdom with the students. The current Chairman, Dr. Milind Kamble, BoG, IIM Jammu, will preside over the function and deliver the presidential address. A walkthrough of the proposed campus will also be shown in the event.
The celebration will continue with the three insightful panel discussions. Panel 1 discussion will be revolved around the topic “Strengthening collaboration for academic excellence”, chaired by Ms. Anita Bhogle, BoG Member, IIM Jammu.
Panel 2 discussion will be focused on “Encouraging industry and alumni engagement” and will be chaired by Dr. Shalini Lal, BoG Member, IIM Jammu.
This will be followed by the 3rd-panel discussion on “Creating social impact and governance”, chaired by Ms. Jaya Goyal, Former BoG Member, IIM Jammu.
After these enlightening discussions, there will be the Valedictory Session, in which Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, will again address the audience, and Dr. Milind Kamble, Chairman, BoG, IIM Jammu, will preside over the function. There will also be an address by CS Nagendra Rao, President, Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), Shri Bishwarupa Basu, President, Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) and Lt. Col. M.L. Sharma (Retd.), Former CAO, IIM Jammu. Chief Guest, Dr. Arun Mehta, Chief Secretary, Government of Jammu and Kashmir, will give the valedictory address.
Prof. Jabir Ali, Chairperson (Placement), IIM Jammu, and Dr. Muqbil Burhan, Chairperson Srinagar-Off Campus, IIM Jammu, will extend the vote of thanks and the program will come to an end with the singing of the National Anthem.
