IGP Kashmir among four promoted as ADGP


New Delhi, July 07: The Union Home Ministry has ordered promotion of Inspector General of Police range Vijay Kumar and three other officers of 1997 batch of erstwhile J&K Cadre as additional director generals of police (ADGPs).

According to an order issued by MH, Vijay Kumar, Garib Das and Alok Kumar have been promoted as ADGPs.

Vijay Kumar an IPS officer of 1997 batch has played a key role in anti- militancy operations and normalising law and order situation in the Union Territory since 2019.

The MHA has also ordered proforma promotion of Viplav Kumar Choudhary who is on central deputation.
