Jammu Tawi: A flash flood struck High School Sanai in Surankote, Poonch district, during the intervening night of August 11 and 12, sweeping away a 200-foot-long shed and a sports room containing school records and equipment.
Officials said the sudden floodwaters caused extensive damage to property but no loss of life or injuries was reported.
Police teams have reached the site to assess the extent of the damage, while local authorities are evaluating measures to prevent future incidents in the flood-prone area.
