Ex RA&W Chief against townships for Kashmiri Pandits

Date:

Srinagar, June 10 (KNS): The former RAW chief and Vajpayee's Incharge for affairs Amar Singh Dulat while cautioning the State dispensation over establishing separate townships for migrate pandits said the prevailing situation in and Kashmir would not witness any betterment by such majors.

Dulat said that establishing separate townships for Pandits would not be a good idea and would nullify the very concepts of Kashmiriyat. “There should be composite townships instead of separate colonies for the pandits. People from all religions should live together and that is what Kashmiriyat is all about,” said the former spy master, adding that if pandits are isolated, they could become soft target for the militant attacks.

While commenting over the forth coming polls in assembly segment Anantnag, Dulat said that the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti will register victory from the assembly constituency for sure. “I will be shocked if she loses the polls. My analysis say that she will win and that she has to win this election for proving her mettle at the state as well as at the level,” Dulat said.
