Jammu, Feb 23: A drone was found on the lawns of a private school in the Domana area of Jammu on Monday and has been sent for forensic examination, while police also launched a manhunt after unidentified persons snatched a car in Samba district, officials said.
The drone was spotted by a school security guard, who alerted the local police station. A police team reached the spot, seized the device and initiated an inquiry. Preliminary checks suggest it may be a toy drone, but it has been sent to a forensic laboratory for detailed analysis.
In a separate incident early Monday, four unidentified persons allegedly snatched a private car near Rakh Barotian in the Vijaypur area of Samba. The Punjab-registered vehicle was travelling towards Jammu when it was intercepted and taken away by the accused, who fled towards the Jammu Ring Road, officials said.
Police have sounded a high alert and launched a search operation to trace the suspects and recover the vehicle. (Agencies)
