District Admin Honours Winners & Runners-up of Inter-Department Tournament on National Unity Day

Udhampur, Oct 31:  Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai today extended her congratulations to the victorious teams of the Inter-department tournament, which was organized by the District Administration Udhampur in celebration of Unity Day and UT Foundation Day.

The event took place at the District Police line in Udhampur.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Joginder Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Joginder Singh Jasrotia, Additional SP, Anwar-Ul-Haq, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Rafiq Ahmed Jaral, Chief Planning Officer, Mudassir Yaqoob Zargar and other officers were present.

The DC commended the players and the staff of the Department of Youth Services & Udhampur for their dedicated efforts, which contributed to the tournament's resounding success.

She encouraged the participants to engage in such competitions, highlighting the importance of staying physically, mentally and socially fit in society.

During the event, Deputy Commissioner acknowledged the exceptional achievements of the winners and runners-up and conveyed her best wishes for their future endeavors. The final match was contested between SSP Eleven and GMC Udhampur, with SSP Eleven emerging victorious.

The DC presented trophies to the winning and runner-up teams, as well as mementos to the “Man of the Match” and “Man of the Series.”

It is worth noting that the District Administration Udhampur organized this Inter-department Tournament, with eight departments participating in the competition.
