DGP Rajendra to get extension, Vaid appointed DG Law & Order

Srinagar, Sep 08: The and government has recommended 3 months extension in the services of Director General Police K Rajendra who is due to retire by September end.

A senior cabinet Minister told “The cabinet which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti recommended 3 months extension in the services of incumbent DGP K Rajendra who is due to attain the age of superannuation by September end. The recommendation has been sent to Ministry of Home affairs Government of ”. He also said that meanwhile cabinet has appointed SP Vaid Director General Law & Order and coordination to assist Director General Police in our seeing the Law & Order in the State.

Sources said Vaid is likely to take over as New Director General after retirement of incumbent DGP K Rajendra.
