SRINAGAR, Dec 6: A CRPF personnel died after collapsing in the Mattan area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials confirmed. The incident occurred during the intervening night when Constable Azad Ahmad Najar, posted in Mattan, suddenly collapsed due to syncope. He was immediately taken to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) Mattan for medical treatment but was declared brought dead by doctors. Preliminary investigations indicate that the constable likely suffered a cardiac arrest. The deceased, identified as Azad Ahmad Najar, was a resident of Sheikhpora, Uttersoo, and the son of Gull Mohd Najar. The police have registered a case, and an investigation into the cause of death is currently underway.
