Central Govt. may not allow the coalition Govt. in J&K to fall

, December 12 (KIP):- The ongoing turmoil in seems to
have added to the tension between the PDP and the BJP that have been
sharing power for the last about one year.

The two sides differ on various issues which includes neglect of
the region of Jammu by the PDP led Government. Secondly the recent
reorganization of the police cadre has seemingly added to the rift.

The Conference and the Congress are waiting when the
Government falls. The two parties know it well that if the fall of the
Government is followed by fresh Assembly election the PDP and the BJP
may be voted out of power.

However, the BJP high command are aware of this issue and the
central Government is opposed to encouraging any further split between
the PDP and the BJP because the central Government are aware that BJP
may be mauled in the next election.

Hence the union Government is waiting for an opportunity when it
can initiate various development projects which could mitigate the
anger of the people  in he Jammu region. There is a plan to improve
power generation which may reduce load shedding because prolonged load
shedding is irksome to people in the region of Jammu during the summer
    months.

It has already given some cash incentive to the refugees from
Pakistan but it has conveyed to them that grant of citizenship rights
was not possible as they could incite separatists who do not want any
non-Muslim to get settled permanently in Jammu and Kashmir. These
refugees have been assured that they would get in paramilitary
forces and the Armed forces to the extent they did not require any job
    in the state sector.(KIP)
