Jammu Tawi, May 14: The Central Administrative Tribunal has permitted an applicant to appear in the interview for the post of Lecturer (English), scheduled from May 11, 2026, while making it clear that such participation will be subject to the final outcome of the case.
Passing an interim order, the tribunal directed the respondents to allow the candidate to take part in the ongoing selection process at her own risk and responsibility. It also clarified that no rights will accrue to the applicant merely by appearing in the interview or participating in the selection process.
The order came after hearing submissions from both sides. Counsel representing the respondents accepted notice, and the tribunal issued directions for filing of replies before the next hearing.
The matter has been listed for further consideration on June 29, 2026. The tribunal also directed the respondents to submit their response in advance, with a copy to the applicant’s counsel.
The interim relief ensures that the applicant does not miss the opportunity to participate in the recruitment process while the legal proceedings remain pending.
