    Cache of arms ammunition recovered in Jammu Kashmir

    Doda, August 3: police today busted a militant hideout in Kishtwar district and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition.

    On specific inputs, police party of police station Chatroo and 11 Rashtriya Rifles personnel on joint patrolling duty in Shree and Batwari area received a reliable information that some militants have made a hideout in Shree forest in which Arms and Ammunition have been hidden.

    The recovery of ammunition included 943 live rounds of 7.62 mm and 7.1 mm, 2 UBGL throwers, 1 RPG shell, 11 other shells, 18 AGS grenades, 5 IED charge sticks, 2 IED switch control devices, 2 Empty Magazine of Ak-47, 5 IED Batteries, 10 IED switches, 1 Empty ammunition box from the hideout was destroyed on spot.

    A senior police officer said, “It's a major achievement for the security forces who had made this area militancy free after lot of scarifies, we never allow any such move to revive militancy again. The recovery was made this morning in Kishtwar over specific inputs, it's an old militant hideout but in usable condition.”

    He said a case under FIR No.30/2016 u/s 7/25 A. Act, 120-B/121-A RPC, 4/5 Exp. substance Act stands registered in Police Station, Chatroo.
