Ban on inter-district recruitment remains

Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Law and Justice Abdul Haq today said that the Government has no plan to lift ban on the inter-district recruitment.

Responding to a question by Ch Qamar Hussain, Minister said that revoking the ban on inter-district recruitment will adversely affect the career prospects of thousands of candidates aspiring for government in their respective districts.

He further informed the House that the & Civil Services Decentralization and Recruitment Rules, 2010 were notified in 2010 under which only candidates belonging to the concerned district can apply for the district cadre posts.

Javid Ahmed Rana and Mian Altaf Ahmed raised supplementaries to the main question.
