Amritsar Group of Colleges announces special scholarship for J&K Students

Jammu Tawi: Amritsar Group of Colleges (AGC), Amritsar today organized the Press Conference at Press Club, Jammu to start with its Admission Session 2023-2024. Dr. Gaurav Tejpal, Dean Campus Relations represented the Institute during the conference.

Briefing on the occasion, Dr. Gaurav Tejpal, said the objective of this conference is to start with the Admission Session 2023-2024. Adding further, he said that the Institute has always supported and favoured the students from J&K because of their extra ordinary calibre to excel and succeed. He said that the Institute prides itself in sharing that till date 662+ students from J&K have taken admission in various courses of the college. Guiding about various scholarships schemes he further added that keeping in view today's scenario AGC had offered a special fee structure for students of J&K which has proved to be helpful for both parents and students. Continuing the legacy, the Institute will keep on offering the scholarships to the students who wish to seek admission in the session 2023-2024.

Also, the students belonging to SC/ST Category who wish to take admissions in Amritsar Group of Colleges can register themselves through the J & K Social Welfare Department. The Institute has already started accepting the applications from them. College also provides scholarships to meritorious students and accepts applications through AICTE-PMSSS, AICTE Pragati scholarship scheme, AICTE Saksham scholarship scheme and various other scholarships schemes.

Sharing his views about the Institute, Dr. Tejpal said that AGC is accredited by NAAC Grade ‘A' in the third cycle under the Autonomous category. The institute also boasts itself of being accredited by NBA (twice). AGC has also been conferred with the Autonomous Status by Universities Grant Commission (UGC). He also added that the Amritsar Group of Colleges (AGC) from the past 22 years stands tall as a provider of Quality Higher Education at the and Horizon. The group is further approved by the concerned regulatory bodies like AICTE, PCI New Delhi, BCI New Delhi and affiliated to IKG PTU, Kapurthala, PSBTE&IT Chandigarh and GNDU Amritsar. AGC's reputation is built on its strengths in the fields of Engineering, Management. Fashion Design, Computer Applications, Hotel Management, Pharmacy and Law.

Speaking about Centres of Excellence he added that, the objective of each Centre of Excellence (Robotics & Industrial Automation, Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, Big Data (8th Lab in The And 2nd In ) is to extend a disciplinary and research-oriented approach to teaching and learning which we believe escalates an innovative attitude in students.
