Adm drops Sher-e-Kashmir from SKICC, renames as Kashmir International Conference Centre

The Jammu and Kashmir administration has renamed the ‘Sher-i-Kashmir Conference Centre' (SKICC) embedded as a pearls at the Bank of famous Dal Lake as ‘Kashmir International Conference Centre'.
“Sher-i-Kashmir” is the title used for Sheikh Abdullah, the former prime minister and later a chief minister of Jammu & Kashmir.
The Sher-i-Kashmir title had been widely used in naming almost all the prestigious state and public institutions and awards in the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir
Earlier, the J&K Administration has dropped ‘Sher-e-Kashmir' from the ‘Sher-e-Kashmir Police Medal' an honor for distinguish services and renamed it as J&K Police Medal.
The Sher-i-Kashmir, or the “Lion of Kashmir” Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah, was a leader pivotal to the of Jammu & Kashmir for many decades.
