Srinagar, Mar 12 : The overnight heavy to moderate rains continued to lash plains of Jammu division and Kashmir valley while the weather conditions improved from Friday afternoon with the local weatherman predicting more rains on March 14 and 15.
The higher reaches of the Valley and some upper hills of Jammu province continued to receive snowfall in the intervening night of Thursday-Friday, thus bringing down the temperature further across the hilly areas
The wet-spell has brought chilly weather conditions back in the Valley, thus prompting people yet again to wear warm clothes like Kashmir’s traditional Pheran and Jackets.
Director Meteorological department (MeT), Sonum Lotus told that the weather would remain dry tomorrow as per the forecast while there is possibility light rainfall across J&K on March 14 and 15 with main activity on March 14.
As per the details available, the night temperature at Gulmarg, the world famous ski-resort settled at minus 4.0 degree Celsius.
Srinagar, the summer capitals of Jammu and Kashmir, which received nearly 30.0mm of fresh rainfall, recorded the night temperature of 2.2 degrees Celsius.
