    14 Junior Legal Assistants Promoted as Associate Law Officers in J&K

    JAMMU, Mar 27: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has promoted 14 Junior Legal Assistants appointed under the Prime Minister’s Special Package to the posts of Associate Law Officers in the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.

    According to Government Order No. 3898-JK(LD) of 2026 dated March 26, the promotion follows the upgradation of 14 posts of Junior Legal Assistants (Divisional Cadre Kashmir) to the higher level of Associate Law Officers, in line with existing government guidelines and recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee.

    The promoted officials include Riya Pran Koul, Mrinal Koul, Mehraj Gul, Rakesh Kumar Dhar, Shahid Maqbool Ganie, Eshant Raina, Yaseer Ahmad, Liyakat Ali, Neha Koul, Rohit Bhat, Aabid Bashir Kuthoo, Rahul Pandit, Vijay Kumar Bhat and Akshay Anand.

    The order states that the promoted officials will continue to serve in their present departments or offices until further orders.

    It also clarified that the promotions will remain subject to the outcome of any pending writ petitions or cases before competent courts or tribunals.

    The order was issued by the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs with the approval of the competent authority.
