Jammu, Jan 12: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday walked from his residence to the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Jammu to chair an official review meeting, officials said.
The Chief Minister chose to reach the DC Office on foot instead of using a convoy, drawing attention during his walk through the city, officials said.
According to officials, the meeting was part of a scheduled administrative review aimed at assessing ongoing developmental works and governance-related matters in the Jammu region.
Senior civil and police officers attended the meeting, during which key issues concerning administration and delivery of public services were discussed.
Officials said the visit and the review meeting proceeded as planned, with the Chief Minister taking stock of the situation and issuing necessary directions. [KNT]
