    Punjabi Singer-Actor Rajvir Jawanda Dies After 12-Day Battle Following Road Accident

    Mohali, Oct 8: Popular Punjabi singer and actor Rajvir Jawanda passed away on Wednesday morning at Fortis Hospital, Mohali, after battling for life for nearly 12 days. He was 35.

    Hospital authorities confirmed that Jawanda was declared dead at 10:55 am. “Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda passed away at 10:55 AM on October 8, 2025. He was admitted on September 27 in an extremely critical condition following a road accident that caused severe spinal injuries and brain damage,” Fortis Hospital said in a statement.

    Despite continuous monitoring and intensive care, he succumbed to multiple organ failure.

    Jawanda had suffered critical head and spinal injuries when his motorcycle collided with stray cattle near Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, on September 27. Doctors had described his neurological condition as “extremely critical,” with minimal brain activity.

    A resident of Sector 71, Mohali, Jawanda was celebrated for chartbusters such as Surname, Sardari, Kamla, and Mera Dil. He also earned acclaim for his roles in Punjabi films like Jind Jaan, Mindo Taseeldarni, and Kaka Ji.

    Born in Pona village, Jagraon (Ludhiana), Jawanda began his musical career in 2014 with the single Munda Like Me. Known for his soulful voice and themes of Punjabi pride, he was widely admired across the Punjabi music and film industry.

    The news of his untimely demise has left fans and the entertainment fraternity in deep shock and mourning. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had visited him at the hospital earlier this week to enquire about his health. (Agencies)
