J&K Gears Up for ‘Har Ghar Tiranga 2025’ Campaign

SRINAGAR, August 1: Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo on Thursday chaired a high-level meeting to review preparations for the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga 2025’ campaign, scheduled from August 2 to 15, under the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.

The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary, Culture; Commissioner Secretary, GAD; administrative secretaries; senior police officials; and heads of departments.

Emphasizing the importance of transforming the campaign into a mass movement, the Chief Secretary urged all departments to ensure maximum participation across urban and rural areas. He called for engaging school children, youth, and citizens from all walks of life to promote national unity, pride, and patriotism.

Principal Secretary, Culture, Brij Mohan Sharma informed that the campaign will unfold in three phases to ensure wide public engagement across Jammu and Kashmir.

The first phase (August 2–8) will focus on awareness-building through creative initiatives. Educational institutions and public spaces will feature Tiranga-themed wall paintings, murals, and rangoli. Exhibitions curated by the Ministry of Culture will be held in schools and government offices.

The second phase (August 9–12) will focus on mass mobilisation and cultural celebration. Tiranga Mahotsavs and local melas will showcase regional arts, crafts, and products, particularly from Self-Help Groups (SHGs). The phase will also include cycle and bike rallies, youth parades, and community Tiranga Yatras. SHGs will facilitate the distribution of national flags.

The final phase (August 13–15) will culminate in flag-hoisting ceremonies, illuminations of key landmarks, and a major flag-hoisting event in both Srinagar and Jammu. Citizens will also be encouraged to take part in the popular ‘Selfie with Tiranga’ initiative by uploading their photos to a dedicated portal.

Over 15 lakh flags will be distributed across the UT, and a digital platform will provide real-time event monitoring and updates. This year’s campaign aims to reinforce the spirit of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat through grassroots creativity and cultural expression.
