    9 Police Officers transferred

    Jammu Tawi, May 7: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Home Department of the Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the transfer and posting of nine police officers, including six IPS officers, with immediate effect.

    According to Government Order No. 246-Home of 2025 issued today, Uttam Chand, IPS, currently serving as IG (POS) HQ, has been given additional charge of IGP (Hqrs) PHQ, J&K, IG (Tech), and IG (Telecom), relieving M. Suleman Choudhary, IPS, of the additional responsibilities.

    Vinod Kumar, IPS, DIG Armed Jammu, has been assigned additional charge of DIG IR Jammu, while Mohd. Arshad, JKPS, Director Home-guards Jammu, will now also hold charge of DIG HG/CD & SDRF Jammu.

    Three IPS officers awaiting adjustment have been given fresh postings included  Hariprasad K.K has been transferred and posted as Additional SP Baramulla, Kartik Shrotriya as Additional SP Anantnag vice Sajad Ahmad Sheikh, and Mukund Tibrewal as SP OPS Border & Kandi Kathua.

    Sajad Ahmad Sheikh, who previously served as Additional SP Anantnag, has been transferred and posted as SP CTC Lethpora (Vice Principal) against an available vacancy. Meanwhile, Mr. Ghulam Hassan Sheikh, Additional SP Anantnag (Over All Reserve post), has been posted as Dy.CO IR-23 in place of Shri Rameez Raja.

    In a reciprocal move, Rameez Raja, Dy.CO IR-23, has been transferred and posted as Additional SP Anantnag (Over All Reserve post), replacing Ghulam Hassan Sheikh.
