Jammu, January 20, 2025: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has pledged to donate his organs by registering on the Ayushman Bharat Organ Donation Registry of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.
The State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (SOTTO) representatives, including Dr. Elias Sharma (Nodal Officer), Dr. Sanjeev Puri (Joint Director), and Irfan Ahmed Lone (Transplant Coordinator), visited Raj Bhawan today to present the pledge certificate to the Lieutenant Governor.
Sandeep Jain, President, and Monika Jain, General Secretary of the Bharatiya Jain Sangathan, J&K, were also in attendance. The Lieutenant Governor had earlier expressed his commitment to organ donation during a program organized by Bharatiya Jain Sansthan on January 19, 2025.
This initiative is in line with the government’s efforts to encourage organ donation and improve transplantation services in the region
