Rozgar Mela| Govt’s priority is to harness the potential and talent of India’s youth: PM Modi

New Delhi, Dec 23: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday distributed over 71,000 appointment letters to newly recruited government employees through video conferencing, marking a significant step towards empowering India’s youth.

During the event, PM Modi extended his congratulations to the new appointees, stating, “I have had many professional discussions with the youth of India in Kuwait. After coming here, my first program is with the youth of the country. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the youth and their families.”

The Prime Minister emphasized that the government’s priority is to harness the potential and talent of India’s youth. “Through Rozgar Mela, we are continuously working in this direction. Over the past decade, various ministries, departments, and institutions have been engaged in a campaign to provide government jobs. Today, over 71,000 youth have been appointed. In the last 1.5 years, nearly 10 lakh permanent government jobs have been provided—a massive record,” he said.

PM Modi also pointed out that previous governments did not have such a mission-focused approach to providing permanent government jobs. He stressed that the current administration is committed to offering these jobs with full transparency and honesty.

Highlighting the importance of youth in nation-building, the Prime Minister noted that the strength and leadership of the youth are key to the country’s development. “At the heart of every policy and decision in India is the talented youth of the country. Programs like Make in India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, Startup India, and Digital India have all been designed with the youth at the center,” he added.

The Prime Minister also spoke about India’s progress in sectors such as defense, space, manufacturing, and digital technologies, crediting the country’s youth for the achievements. “India today is the second-largest mobile manufacturing country in the world, and from renewable energy to organic farming, space to defense, the country is reaching new heights in every sector,” he said.

The Rozgar Mela initiative is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to provide meaningful employment opportunities and empower the youth to contribute to nation-building.
