Srinagar, Dec 8: PDP president Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday urged the Jammu and Kashmir government to grant age relaxation for candidates applying for police sub-inspector (SI) posts, citing recruitment delays since 2019.
The former chief minister emphasized that the delay in recruitment, caused by corruption and repeated exam cancellations, has left many aspirants facing uncertain futures. “Countless JKPSI aspirants stare at a bleak future owing to recruitment delays since 2019. Age relaxation is a legitimate demand and I hope it’s granted immediately,” Mehbooba said in a post on X.
