Jammu Tawi: Rajinder Bazar Residents’ Welfare Society (RBRWS) held a condolence meeting, here today to condole the demise of a senior member and a leading gun manufacturer of Jammu, Haji Mohammad Afzal. He is survived by three sons, two daughters and grandchildren. Haji Mohammad Afzal, father of a noted orthopaedist Dr Tahir Afzal, was proprietor and managing director of Khair-ud-Din & Sons and owner of Chouhan Gun House. Expressing his condolence on the demise of Haji Afzal, RBRWS president Deepak Sharma said, “It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that we extend our deepest condolences on the passing of Haji Mohammad Afzal. Affectionately known as Afzal Sahib, he was not merely a leading businessman and gun manufacturer of Jammu, but a paragon of principles and discipline, a legend whose humility and integrity were as renowned as his professional acumen.” Also speaking on the occasion, RBRWS vice-president Sameer Bhasin said, “In this time of grief, we stand in solidarity with his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. Afzal Sahib’s departure to his heavenly abode leaves an irreplaceable void in the community.” Sanjeev Sharma, General Secretary of the RBRWS, in his address said, “His life was a testament to the virtues of hard work, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to ethical business practices. He was a beacon of light, guiding many with his wisdom and kindness, and his legacy will continue to inspire future generations.” Among those present at the meeting included; RBRWS spokesperson Raj Kumar, advisors Sanjeev Grover and Madan Gopal Tony and media secy Karan Ambardar.
