Jammu Tawi: Swami Shri Rajeshwaranand Ji Maharaj, head of Shri Rajmata Jhande Wala Mandir group and Shiv Sena (UBT) state chief Manish Sahni while addressing a joint press conference here today, strongly criticized the proposal on Article 370 brought by the PDP MLA during the Jammu and Kashmir assembly session. They also flayed the tribute paying ceremony in which homage was paid to the late radical Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani, who was accused of being giving anti-India statements. Sahni said that reciting the praises of the late pro-Pakistan separatist and fundamentalist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani in the Jammu and Kashmir assembly is a highly condemnable and unnecessary act. He said that this misdeed can once again ignite the spark of separatism and fundamentalism in Kashmir. Sahni said that Gilani had many allegations against him ranging from treason to hawala funding, inciting stone-pelters. While expressing anger, Swami Shri Rajeshwaranand ji Maharaj said that during the oath taking ceremony of the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah had taken oath on the unity and integrity of the nation, had given a statement of keeping Article 370 on hold and focusing on the development of the state and suddenly on the first and second day of the assembly session, Omar has changed his color like a chameleon by singing the song of Article 370 and Geelani. They advised Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to focus only on the overall development of the state and public issues and not create an atmosphere of confusion in the state by raising useless issues.
