Top Reality TV star stands by brother after controversy on popular stunt reality show
Asim Riaz’s brother Umar Riaz has come forward in support of the former contestant of the stunt based reality show “Fear Factor” after his recent expulsion from the 14th season. In a cryptic social media post, Umar cautioned people about degrading someone to a point where their “worst demons come out”.
The post was seemingly a reference to the chain of events on the show which led to Asim’s exit. During his stint, Asim was involved in an altercation with the show’s host and other participants over his inability to complete a challenge. This didn’t sit well with the judges and host, who warned him about his behavior before removing him from the competition.
Meanwhile, other celebrities who have been a part of the hugely popular Fear Factor franchise in the past have weighed in on the matter. Veteran TV actor Arjit Taneja, calling Asim an “idiot”, said the participant needs help dealing with his conduct. Arjit recalled his own positive experience on the show last year and praised the show’s host for tolerating Asim.
Fellow contestant Kushal Tandon also took a dig at Asim’s claims of wealth and possessions. Referring to Asim’s argument with the crew over monetary incentives, Kushal challenged him to prove his financial worth. Kushal further commended the host for handling the difficult situation with grace.
Asim is known for his fierce personality from his debut in the reality show “Big Brother”. However, many feel his competitive spirit crossed lines on the action-packed Fear Factor, overshadowing the core purpose of fun tasks and teamwork. Only time will tell if Asim learns from this experience.
