A tragic incident occurred on the Kandaghat-Shimla highway in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh on Sunday, resulting in the loss of one life. As per reports, an Eicher truck collided head-on with a scooter near the Tunnel Dehu Chowki area around 11 am. The impact of the collision was severe, killing the scooter rider on the spot. His pillion rider sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Shimla.
The deceased has been identified as Darshan Singh, a local resident. Police officials have registered a case and arrested the truck driver. Further investigations are underway to determine the exact sequence of events leading to the accident. Speaking about the incident, Superintendent of Police Gaurav Singh informed that necessary actions will be taken as per the law. The condition of the injured person remains critical according to latest reports.
