8 dead, 3 injured in collision in Ambala

Eight people died while three were injured after the vehicle they were travelling in collided head on with a dumper on Naraingarh-Sadhora road near Gadauli village in Ambala on Wednesday morning.

The impact of the collision was so high that seven people died on the spot and the dumper which was carrying stones also overturned.

Around 8:30 am the Tavera car, in which the occupants were travelling to a marriage party, was on its way towards Ambehta village of Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh.

As the vehicle reached near Gadauli village, a tyre of Tavera burst following which the driver lost control over the vehicle and it collided with the dumper.

The victims were rushed to Naraingarh Civil Hospital where seven people were declared brought dead while four were referred to PGI, Chandigarh.

Superintendent of Police Abhishek Jorwal said, “Eight people have died while three are undergoing treatment. The dumper driver has been identified and will be caught soon.”
