Budgam, Oct 13: Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested four persons and recovered arms and ammunition from their possession in Chadoora area of Kashmir's Budgam district.
Official sources told that police arrested four youth from Chadoora and recovered arms, ammunition and other incriminating material from their possession during searches.
“Arms and ammunition include two Chinese grenades, a pistol magazine, eight pistol rounds, 30 AK-47 rounds and a flag of militant outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba,” they said.
Police identified the arrested persons as Arshid Mushtaq Baghat, Nisar Bashir Baghat, both residents of Balpora Wathora, Tahir Jahangir Dar of Sheikhpora Wathora and Adil Bashir Wani, a resident of Kralpora.
Meanwhile, an official told that police has registered a case under FIR number 180/2020 under section 18,19,20,23 Unlawful Activities Act in this regard and started the investigation.
