22 houses gutted in fire in Padder

Fire broke out at village Khacharni of Paddar, in hilly  kishtwar district on tuesday late evening and gutted almost 20-22 houses. Fire broke out at 6:30 pm in the evening mysteriously.

A senior police officer has said that fire  broke out in village Khachroni, Tehsil- Padder, under the jurisdiction of  Police Post, Ishtyari, PS- Atholi, Padder.

He said  20-22 houses of (Bhuddist Population) and it is reported by locals that all houses have burnt to ashes. However he confirmed that there is no report of any human loss in the incident.

He said, ‘the area is completely disconnected and need hours to reach the spot. It's 15 kilometers by foot and 35 kilometers drive from Padder.'
‘We have send a team headed by concerned SHO to the spot. However, there is no communication network in the area and we are unable to confirm anything.” He said.

The reports are coming that people have themselves started rescue operation owing to unavailability of communication.

However, MLC Firdous Tak has expressed grief over loss of property in another tragic fire incident at Padder.

Immediately after learning about the incident He talked to Deputy Commissioner and District Superintendent of Police to enquire about the incident and relief and rescue operation.

Tak was informed that a team of police has been rushed to the spot to launch the rescue operation on war footings.

A team of civil officers will be deputed to the affected village in the morning with necessary relief supplies including tents, blankets, medicen and ration, he was told further.

The legislator asked the administratoon to ensure all kind of help to the affected and launch relief and rehabilitaion operation on Warwan pattern.

Pertinently its a second major fire incident in the district within a weeks time. Earler this  week fire gutted about 80 houses in Warwan and displaced 126 families.
